COVID-19 pandemic information: Many of us in the office are working remotely. We do have a limited staff in the office 9 to 3. NEW PRESS: In March of 2020 Clear View Bag installed a second print press from PCMC. This new 52″ wide press has 8 color stations for process and spot prints. The 52″ press is in addition to our 42″ press installed in 2017. The additional press will expand our print capabilities, offer us more capacity, help keep lead times short, and allow for increasingly competitive pricing on larger volume runs.
THE CLIMATE REALITY PROJECT: Clear View Bag was to have attended in the Climate Reality Leadership Corps in Las Vegas presented by former Vice President Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project in April 2020. The COVID virus has delayed the in-person event until 2021. The date(s) are TBD.
This seminar will engage participants in ways to inspire action in our communities in regards to climate change solutions. The Climate Reality Leadership Corps works to inspire change in participants lives in all aspects to help promote a cleaner and more sustainable future. The seminar focuses on both local and regional climate impacts and solutions so participants see both the wide and narrow scope of the issue at hand. The Climate Reality Leadership Corps hopes to invoke urgent action in participants across all levels.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING COALITION (SPC): Clear View Bag continues to participate in the Sustainable Packaging Coalition’s SPC Spring and Fall events. The 2020 events are all virtual. The events focus on rethinking our purpose in our marketplace. The traditional purpose of corporations making business, advancing the economy, producing goods or services and generating profit is being reevaluated in light of the complex challenges of climate change. The urgency to address major environmental sustainability issues such as depletion of resources and marine pollution has increased, along with hyper consumer awareness.
RIVERKEEPER: Clear View Bag was to have participated in the Hudson River Clean Up effort May 2th 2020. COVID restrictions have delayed the vent to later in 2020. the date is TBD. Details can be found at www.riverkeeper.org. We will post follow up information after the event.
FINDING SUSTAINABILITY BOOK: Co-owner Trent Romer has written a narrative non-fiction book about Clear View Bag’s journey to sustainability. The publisher is John Hunt Publishing. The book will be released June 1, 2021. The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon. More details to come in early 2021. The book recently won a GOLD AWARD from the Nonfiction Authors Association.
